What we collect

  • On-device app data: saved verses, favorites, streaks, settings, notification tokens.
  • Optional account data (if you create one): email, display name, hashed password.
  • Diagnostics: crash reports and performance events.
  • Payments: handled by Apple/Google; we don't store card numbers.

Why we collect it

  • Provide core features (show curated verses, save favorites, sync across devices).
  • Improve reliability and quality (crash/analytics).
  • Process subscriptions (if used).
  • Show ads only if enabled (you can turn off personalized ads).

SDKs / third parties

  • Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics (Google): usage & crash data to improve app reliability.
  • RevenueCat: subscription status tied to an app user identifier.
  • Google AdMob / Apple Ads: ad delivery; may use device advertising identifiers/pseudonymous data.
  • Cloud hosting (e.g., Firebase/Cloudflare/Supabase): stores account data and favorites if you enable sync.

Data sharing & selling

  • We don't sell personal data.
  • We share data only with the service providers above to operate the app.
  • We respond to lawful requests when required.

Retention

  • Account profile & synced favorites: kept until you delete your account or 24 months after last activity, then purged.
  • Crash logs: up to 90 days.
  • Analytics events: up to 14 months.
  • Backups: up to 30 days after deletion.

Your choices

  • Delete account/data: In the app → Settings → Delete Account & Data. Or request via [deletion web link] or email. We'll confirm and erase server-side data within 30 days (backups within 30 more).
  • Export data: request via email or in-app (JSON).
  • Ads/analytics controls: toggle off in Settings; on iOS you can deny "Allow Tracking."

Children's privacy

Not directed to children under 13. If we learn we collected such data, we delete it.

Security

TLS in transit; encryption at rest where supported; least-privilege access.

International transfers

Data may be processed in the U.S. and other regions; we use standard contractual safeguards where applicable.

Changes

We'll update this page for material changes and update the "Effective" date.

Store form mapping

  • App Store (App Privacy): disclose each data type collected and whether it's linked/tracked; include third-party SDK practices.
  • Google Play (Data safety): complete the form, add this policy URL, and include the Delete account web link if you support accounts.
  • In-app deletion (required if accounts): provide an in-app flow to initiate deletion.

"No data collected" variant (use only if true)

We do not collect, store, or share personal data. All app data remains on your device and never leaves it. Our app does not use third-party analytics, ads, or tracking SDKs. If this changes, we will update this policy and our store disclosures.
